Does anyone else marvel at details in nature up close? Isn't it amazing that our Creator thoughtfully attends every intricacy in stunning detail?
He does it with us, too. This is even more stunning to think about. I forget that God's time and attention isn't spread thin across creation. It's certainly not "shared" across his children. In fact, we have even more of it. This is made even more extraordinary to me since becoming a mom, where I find myself in a tug of war for attention on the regular. (I hardly have time to look at this flower, but Lord, I need to!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Life can feel overwhelming and out of control. The gift of peace and rest (physically or mentally) comes in trusting that God tends to my life in every last detail, as if I were his only creation! Could this be true? It's hard to comprehend with a finite, time-bound, and often divided mind that I have his attention, somehow, completely undivided.
